General Election 2017

Hertford & Stortford - Green Party Candidate for 8 June 2017

Our candidate is David Woollcombe

David Woollcombe

David Woollcombe was brought up in Much Hadham and lives in Buntingford.  David is the founder of an international charity that campaigned at the original 1992 Rio Earth summit and subsequent follow-ups and Climate Change COP Summits.  His charity currently campaigns for more effective youth job creation policies to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal of full youth employment by 2030.

David says “I am standing in this Brexit election to conserve the prosperity, the jobs, the services and the beautiful environment of this constituency where I was born.  All four are threatened by this weakly-opposed Conservative government.

Vote Green to build a stronger, fairer, more peaceful society based on a green economy, no student fees, and planning laws that maintain a clean sustainable environment for our children and grand-children.”
